ABOUT US

Charl Venter started his goldsmith trade working at Millwood Manufacturing Jewellers in Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa, working under owner Clive Herrington and his son Brendon as well as Kelly's, being under the same ownership. There he completed his five year goldsmith apprenticeship, working there for a total of six and a half years, from January 1991 until June 1997.

Charl then moved to Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape. There he worked for Studio d'Originale Manufacturing Jeweller, under owner Loutjie Koekemoer from June 1997 until June 2011, for a total of 14 years.

At this stage Charl felt it was time to venture out on his own and to establish his own brand.

June 2011 saw Charl setting up a goldsmith workshop at his home in Jeffreys Bay, introducing his unique style and brand at stalls, festivals and shows across South Africa, under the name Metal Mania Jewellery & Crafts, for one year.

In June 2012, Charl opened his own manufacturing jeweller shop, Metal Mania Jewellery & Crafts, that was later renamed MMJC Goldsmith/Manufacturing Jeweller. From here he manufactures custom made jewellery, repairs jewellery and also sells a wide range of jewellery for every taste and need.

This Shop is situated at 126 Da Gama Road, Wavecrest Shopping Centre, (between Superspar and Clicks) Wavecrest, Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
